Scuba Diving Beneath the surface of the North Atlantic Ocean lies an incredible underwater garden, and scuba diving in the waters around the island of Madeira are a perfect way to visit a small piece of this little known treasure. The Madeira Underwater Nature Reserve was created in 1982 to preserve its natural heritage. There are numerous dive sites within the reserve that give the visiting diver close encounters with marine life both large and small and memorable log book entries. A new underwater Eco park was created recently, it forms part of the nature reserve and is located in front of the Madeira Beach Club. |
